- This trip starts in Alice Springs at approximately 6am and finishes in Alice Springs at approximately 6-7pm on Day 5. Please take this into consideration when booking any onward travel out of Alice Springs. Onward travel must be booked the following day. Finishing times may be earlier during the summer months. We cannot guarantee arriving in time to board the Ghan or any flights.
- An alternative version of this tour that departs from Yulara and finishes at Alice Springs is also available.
- For the Kings Canyon Rim Walk it is a requirement that you have a minimum of 3 litres of water with you. Please consider bringing your own refillable water bottles.
- This trip requires a sleeping bag.

How much luggage can I bring?
Pack your bare essentials. Space is limited on most of the tours with strict laws regarding vehicle weight limit. You can carry a max of 15kg restricted to one small soft bag and a daypack.
Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is compulsory for all international travellers. You must provide proof of your travel insurance upon check-in for your trip. You will not be able to join the tour without it.
What do I need to pack for this trip?
Please refer to the "What to bring" section for a sample list of things required for this trip. All the basic essentials you would normally take on a tour such as toiletries, towel, camera, swim wear, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, torch and insect repellent are just a few things to consider. Keep in mind temperatures vary from day to night, so be sure to pack suitable clothing.
What accommodation is included in this tour?
Stay in a powered campsite for the first 2 nights. Your final 2 nights will be camping in a swag tent somewhere in the Outback determined on the day by your tour guide.
Does this tour cater to special dietary requirements?
If you have any food allergies or special dietary needs, you must ensure this is communicated to us at the time of your booking. Due to the nature of the tour, food will be simple, but plentiful. Substitutes will be provided for, however it is also a good idea to bring your own snacks and staples. Please get in touch for a full list of subsitutes.
