Day One: Uluru and Kata Tjuta

Day One: Uluru and Kata Tjuta
Meet your expert tour guide and the rest of your adventure group in Yulara in the afternoon at your designated pick-up point. Once you're all on board the coach, head toward the iconic Uluru. After lunch, drive the short distance to Kata Tjuta, also known as The Olga's. Stroll amongst the 36 domes that jut out from the land before setting off on an afternoon hike through these massive structures. As evening approaches, head back to camp and settle in to your comfortable powered tent. Enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars with your new travel companions

Day Two: Uluru
Get up bright and early for one of the most spectacular sunrises in the world as day breaks over Uluru. Your tour guide will bring you to visit one of the area's significant cultural sites to see some Anangu rock art and hear one of the significant creation stories. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you please. You could embark on a self-guided walk around the base of Uluru, then perhaps visit the Cultural Centre where you can peruse a display of finely hand-crafted art by local First Nations people from the Western and Central Deserts. Later in the afternoon, travel to Kings Canyon campsite for another night of dining and sleeping under the stars.
- Total walking time: 2.5 hours or if you do the full 10km Uluru Base Walk, up to 3.5 hours

Day Three: Kings Canyon Rim Walk
Today is all about Kings Canyon, an impressive gorge in the Watarrka National Park. Your guide will show you some of the 600 native plant and animal species that reside in the magical space, as you trek through of the areas most exquisite destinations like The Lost City, The Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre and the North and South Walls of Kings Canyon. Stop for a well-deserved lunch before driving through the afternoon to your overnight camp spot in the East MacDonnell Ranges.

Note: For the Kings Canyon Rim Walk it is a requirement that you have a minimum of three litres of water with you. Please consider bringing your own refillable water bottles.
Day Four: East MacDonnell Ranges
The East MacDonnell Ranges, home to the Arrernte people, could be one of the Outbacks most underrated destinations. Take a walk to Emily Gap, an important spiritual site where you can see some ancient rock paintings and learn about the Caterpillar dreamtime story. Next, drive to Jesse Gap, followed by Trephina Gorge for a one-hour guided walk to see the quartzite cliffs and rich birdlife. Take a break for lunch at the Ross River Homestead before making your way to the final campsite over in the West MacDonnell Ranges.

Day Five: West McDonnell Ranges
On your final day, head to one of the most photographed locations of the Red Centre after Uluru, Ormiston Gorge. Keep your eyes peeled for adorable wallabies and admire the sweeping cliff face walls surrounding the central waterhole. Next head to Redbank Gorge and Ellery Creek Big Hole, a popular spot for taking a refreshing dip. As the afternoon draws to a close after a beautiful day exploring the West MacDonnell Ranges, head back to Alice Springs where your epic five day adventure comes to an end.

How much luggage can I bring?
Pack your bare essentials. Space is limited on most of the tours with strict laws regarding vehicle weight limit. You can carry a max of 15kg restricted to one small soft bag and a daypack.
Do I need travel insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all international travellers. You must provide proof of your travel insurance upon check-in for your trip. You will not be able to join the tour without it.
What do I need to pack for this trip?

All the basic essentials you would normally take on a tour such as toiletries, towel, camera, swim wear, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, torch and insect repellent are just a few things to consider. Keep in mind temperatures vary from day to night, so be sure to pack suitable clothing.
What accommodation is included in this tour?
Stay in a powered campsite for the first 2 nights. Your final 2 nights will be camping in a swag tent somewhere in the Outback determined on the day by your tour guide.
Does this tour cater to special dietary requirements
If you have any food allergies or special dietary needs, you must ensure this is communicated to us at the time of your booking. Due to the nature of the tour, food will be simple, but plentiful. Substitutes will be provided for, however it is also a good idea to bring your own snacks and staples. Please get in touch for a full list of subsitutes.

Important Information
- This trip starts in Yulara at the designated time, and finishes in Alice Springs at approximately 6-7pm on Day 5. Please take this into consideration when booking any onward travel out of Alice Springs. Onward travel must be booked the following day. Finishing times may be earlier during the summer months. We cannot guarantee arriving in time to board the Ghan or any flights.
- An alternative, round-trip version of this tour that departs from and returns to Alice Springs is also available.
- For the Kings Canyon Rim Walk it is a requirement that you have a minimum of 3 litres of water with you. Please consider bringing your own refillable water bottles.
- This trip requires a sleeping bag.

All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. No shows or client cancellations made within 60 days of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price.
