Day One: Perth to Kalbarri

Meet your tour guide and travel group in Perth early this morning, eager to drive up the Coral Coast. Make your way into the desert with your first stop at Nambung National Park. Join a guided tour of The Pinnacles, a collection of ancient limestone spires that jut out of the sand. Continue on through the beach town of Geraldton before arriving at your accommodation in Kalbarri for the night.

Day Two: Kalbarri National Park to Shark Bay

This morning, drive a short distance into the heart of Kalbarri National Park. Hike through the Murchison Gorge where you’ll find Nature’s Window and descend into Z-Bend Gorge. After lunch, visit Shell Beach, one of only two beaches in the world consisting entirely of Shells instead of sand. Continue towards Denham and finish the day in Monkey Mia, the gateway to Shark Bay (Gathaagudu).

Day Three: Monkey Mia to Coral Bay

Rise and shine with the sun and head down to the shoreline to join in on the Monkey Mia Dolphin Experience. Wander along the picturesque beachfront admiring the scenic views of the West Australian coastline. Head over to the Hamlin Pool to see the intriguing Stromatolite, some of the largest living fossils and marine rock formations. Drive north along the highway, through the town of Carnarvon, arriving into Coral Bay also known as the "Jewel of the Northwest", where you will stay for the night.

Day Four: Coral Bay to Cape Range National Park

Wake up in paradise ready to explore the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park! Today the day is yours to spend as you choose. Rent some snorkel gear and explore the underwater tropical life metres from the shore, perhaps jump on an optional half day excursion to swim with manta rays, turtles and hundreds of different species of marine life, or maybe join a glass bottom boat tour,  In the afternoon, journey on to Exmouth, where you’ll spend the next 2 nights.

Day Five: Exmouth to Cape Range National Park

Today is another choose your own adventure day! After breakfast you have the option to head back out onto the Ningaloo Reef. If the season is right, you have the chance to snorkel or scuba with whale sharks and manta rays! Alternatively, spend the day chilling at Turquoise Bay. Take a visit to Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, one of the very few places in Australia where you can see the sunrise and sunset on the horizon. Wander around the town of Exmouth before spending the evening relaxing.

Day Six: Karijini National Park

Today is a big day of driving as you head inland towards the Pilbara Region travelling through the expansive cattle stations. Known for it's rich mineral deposits and red earth, the Pilbara is scarcely populated. Pass through the country town of Tom Price, famous for its iron ore mining. In the later afternoon, arrive at your campsite looking over the stunning Hamersley Range in Karijini. If it's a clear night, marvel at one of the most the magnificent starry skies you'll ever see.

Day Seven: Karijini National Park

Spend the next two days exploring the rugged beauty of the Australian Outback. You'll get up close and personal with some of the most unique landforms on Earth. Trek deep into the Karijini National Park where you'll come across fascinating wildlife, waterfalls and refreshing swimming holes. Dales Gorge, Oxlers Lookout, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and Hancock Gorge are just some of the places you might visit. Getting back to nature, this is one of the real highlights of the trip!

Day Eight: Karijini National Park

Continue to traverse through the gorge's, taking in the surrounding environment and making fascinating discoveries along the way. Spend another incredible night camping out in the Australian wilderness.

Day Nine: Pilbara Region

This morning you'll drive approximately four hours, making your way back towards the coast. Stop at the iron ore port town of Port Hedland, the second most populated regional town in the Pilbara. Take a tour of the town, learning about the large scale of the iron ore industry. After lunch, continue driving to a nearby cattle station where you'll camp for the final night of the trip.

Day Ten: Finish in Broome

This morning will see you driving about six hours to your final destination of Broome. along the way you'll get to stop and take a walk along 80-Mile Beach. Say goodbye to your new found travel friends while enjoying a beautiful Broome sunset, reminiscing on the last ten adventurous days journeying up the West Coast of Australia.

All information provided at any time by Outback Tours and our affiliates is subject to these Terms & Conditions. This includes but is not limited to tour information, pricing, blog posts, travel advice, itinerary information and availability.


Your Responsibilities

Please advise us before booking if any passengers are under 18 years old to ensure this is the appropriate trip. 

You must reconfirm all booked tours and itineraries prior to travel as specified on your voucher or ticket. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Outback Tours/Mr Travel and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers/tickets are correct.

It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and the individual tour check-in agent, before boarding, of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.

You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time. Please refer to the specific tour page for full check-in instructions. Guests unable to attend their ticketed tour, transport or accommodation due to delay or lateness will not be eligible for a refund.

If you are undertaking any scuba diving activities, please read and meet the scuba diving medical requirements and information before travel.


Prices/Extra Costs

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include EMC fees, Stingersuit/Wetsuit Hire, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.


Accountability/Misconduct

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based on feedback from other Service Operators.

Outback Tours/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.


Travel Risk/Insurance

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Guests embarking on activities such as scuba diving, jet skiing, skydiving and hiking experiences should purchase insurance appropriate for the risks involved with these activities. 


Transport

It should be noted that any transport you have booked (buses, flights and ferries) through Outback Tours is non-refundable and non-transferable. It might be possible to change flights however do note this must be done directly with the flight operator and we are unable to offer any support with this. This may incur change fees or cancellation fees, it depends on the T+Cs of the flight operators themselves. As we acted as a booking agent for you, it is possible to liaise with the airline directly should there be any unexpected events and the airline is forced to cancel your flights. If there are any changes to your flight times or days, we will get notified and send this email directly to you in a reasonable time.


Merchant Fees

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.


Transfers

The Service Operator reserves the right to limit courtesy transfers to select local accommodations. Private residences or Airbnb properties may be asked to meet at the closest confirmed location. Failure to meet at the specified pick-up location may be treated as “No Show”, for which the Client Cancellation Policy applies. Not all tours offer transfers, please refer to the individual product to see if this is applicable to your tour.


Itinerary tours, accommodation and transport subject to change

  • Tour commences in Perth on Day 1 at 7 am and finishes in Broome (Day 10) at approximately 6 pm. Onward travel should be booked for the following day.
  • A strict luggage limit of 15 kg applies. Please bring a soft sided bag only.
  • This trip requires a sleeping bag.
  • The accommodation on this trip is a mix of Hostel – mixed gender multishare and camping. The minimum age for this trip is 18 years old.

Any specific accommodation, tours, transport, activities or product listed in our itineraries is subject to change according to availability. Our travel agents will do their best to secure you the specific listed accommodation, however, if not possible according to availability, Outback Tours reserves the right to swap and substitute certain products for similar experiences, accommodation or transport that works with your timeframe.

Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees.

You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

Cancellation Policy

Client Cancellations

All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. No shows or client cancellations made within 60 days of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price

Transfers between tours can be made at the suppliers' discretion, however, it should be noted that supplier fees may apply. Tour transfers also incur a $20 administration fee. 

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to: admin@mr-travel.com. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.


Supplier Cancellations

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

All add-on activities (including but not limited to scuba diving, stand-up paddleboarding, helmet diving, guided snorkel tours, banana boat rides and waterslides) are subject to availability and price changing, and may not be available during your tour without notice. Guests are not eligible for refunds on the grounds of non-operating extra activities.

In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Outback Tours/Mr Travel online department.


Refunds

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Outback Tours/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.
