Day One: Darwin to Kakadu
Your adventure begins bright and early with a collection from select accommodation in Darwin between 6.30am and 6.45am. The first stop on this action-packed tour is a wildlife cruise on Corrobboree Billabong, where you can spot crocodiles and beautiful birdlife in their natural habitat. Next up, it's a drive toward Kakadu National Park, with a stop for a picnic lunch near East Alligator River - look out for more crocs and even some flying foxes! Soon, you will arrive at the world-famous Ubirr and observe some outstanding northern Australian rock art and learn about the meanings behind the works from your guide. At the top, feast your eyes on panoramic views of the Nardab floodplains. Tonight, you will camp at Adventure Tours' exclusive safari camp at Mardugal billabong in the heart of Kakadu.

Day Two: Gunlom Falls, Kakadu - Darwin
Your second day will kick off with a visit to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). Here, embark on a 40-minute walk along the creek bed until you arrive at a spectacular plunge pool surrounded my mesmerising cliffs. After a refreshing dip, climb back on board the 4WD truck and head to the Southern end of the park toward Gunlom Falls - a real highlight of this adventure!
The day will wrap up with another swim at Ikoymarrwa (Moline Rockhole), which Adventure Tours guests get unlimited access to. Then, unfortunately, it'll be time to say goodbye to this magnificent Aussie region. Your tour ends with a return to Darwin for about 6pm.

Important Information
- This tour commences in Darwin on Day 1 from 6.30am and finishes in Darwin Day 2 at approximately 5-6pm. Onward travel from or accommodation in Darwin must be booked for the following day.
- This tour has a strict luggage limit of 10 kg in a soft bag or backpack. No hard suitcases please. Excess luggage should be stored at Darwin accommodation.
- This trip requires a sleeping bag. BYO or arrange to hire one
- Please note this tour operates in remote regions where medical facilities may be difficult to access. Guests with medical conditions should provide full details to tour operators.
- Dietary requirements can be catered for if passengers alert their travel agent at the time of booking. Food for the trip is purchased before commencement, so special requirements cannot be catered for after departure.
- Travel insurance is compulsory for this trip. Guests will be asked to provide proof of travel insurance on the first day of the tour.

Where will I sleep?
You will sleep in a 4-10 share permanent eco tent, complete with bunk beds, a camp mattress, a bottom sheet, and a pillow provided.
Please bring your own sleeping bag, or you can hire one for $35.
Built from durable canvas on raised on wooden platforms, these semi-permanent tents offer a low-impact, sustainable way to sleep comfortably in nature. Mesh windows and roll-up sides provide natural airflow.
Showers and toilets are a short walk away.
Will there be mobile coverage?
Mobile coverage will be intermittent as you’ll be travelling through remote outback locations. We recommend letting friends and family know you may be out of contact during the tour.
Guides are equipped with satellite phones for emergencies only.
Who cooks the meals?
While your guide will take care of most of the meals, you’ll have the chance to get involved with simple daily tasks like setting up camp, meal prep, and tidying up.
It’s all part of the shared experience, and your help is always appreciated.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Yes, this tour is suitable for children ages 8+ as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How fit do I need to be to participate in this tour?
This tour is only for fit and active people, who can hike 5kms a day over uneven terrain, often in high temperatures.
Temperatures can be extreme, very high during summer days and very cold during winter nights.
What facilities are available at the camp?
All camps feature shared bathroom facilities with flushing toilets and hot showers. You’ll also find screened kitchen and dining areas for meals and relaxation!
Will there be power to charge my devices?
Camps offer limited access to power for charging devices, available in the shared kitchen, bathroom and dining areas. We recommend bringing a power bank to stay topped up between stops.
Can my dietary needs be catered for?
Yes, passengers with special meal requirements or food allergies MUST ensure they inform us at least 72 hours prior to the trip commencing. Food for the trip is purchased before commencement and special requirements cannot be catered for after departing. Due to the remote nature of our tours, food is basic but plentiful. This tour can cater for the following dietary requirements:
