What is the accommodation like?

You’ll be camping at Outback campgrounds in either swags or tents. Facilities can be very basic, but it’s all part of the adventure! You'll need a sleeping bag, so either bring your own or enquire about purchasing one for $75.

The tour starts in Darwin on Day 1 at 6.30 am and finishes in Broome on Day 10 in the afternoon. Onward travel needs to be booked for the following day after the tour finishes.

How much luggage can we bring?

We recommend you pack as lightly as possible and make sure that you are able to carry and lift your own luggage and walk with it for short distances. Most travellers use a backpack, although an overnight bag with a shoulder strap would also work if you travel lightly.

What are the temperatures like in this part of the Outback?

Temperatures in the Top End and Western Australia are extreme. During the day the weather can be hot with very strong sun, so please bring appropriate clothing and sun protection. In the evenings, temperatures drop significantly, so ensure you have base layers and warm clothing to stay comfortable.

Anyone ages 12-80 can book this tour! Just remember it is a very remote Outback adventure and you need a high level of fitness. It is not recommended for those with limited mobility.
